Why mesh exists

A solid vinyl banner on a chain-link fence is a sail. The first 25 mph gust either rips the banner, rips the fence, or both. Mesh banners solve this by letting wind pass through the print — 30% open area on 70/30 weave, 50% on 50/50 weave. The print still reads sharp from the typical viewing distance (15+ feet), but the wind load drops by 40–70%. Anywhere you'd put a banner on a fence, construction site, or balcony, you want mesh.

Choosing the right weave

70/30 is the standard mesh weave: 30% open area, 70% printed surface. The print is nearly as sharp as solid vinyl from 15+ feet, and it handles wind up to ~50 mph. 50/50 has 50% open area — the print is visibly more porous up close, but the banner is essentially immune to wind. Use 70/30 for branding banners that need to read sharply. Use 50/50 for fence-line construction wraps, multi-story exterior installs, and anywhere a failure would cost you a banner replacement plus a liability claim.

Construction site banners

Construction-site banners are one of the highest-volume mesh applications in Las Vegas. Project signage, sponsor walls around new builds, jobsite branding for general contractors — all mesh. We reinforce grommets every 18 inches (vs 24 on standard vinyl) and recommend bungee mounting over zip-ties so the banner can flex without tearing. Standard sizes: 6×4 ft (job sign), 10×4 ft (sponsor strip), 20×6 ft (full fence-section wrap).

Installation and removal

Mesh is the easiest banner type to install on a fence: zip-tie or bungee through grommets every 18–24 inches. Two people can mount a 20×6 ft mesh banner on chain-link in under 20 minutes. We handle Vegas-area installs including jobsite coordination for general contractors. Removal is identical to install — no adhesive residue, no fence damage.

Frequently asked

Quick answers

Will the print look pixelated up close?
On 70/30 weave the print reads sharply from 15+ feet. Under 5 feet, you'll see the mesh openings — this is normal and expected. Mesh is never the right choice for close-viewing branding (use solid vinyl or fabric for that).
What's the maximum size for a mesh banner?
Same as vinyl: 10 ft wide seamless, larger via panelizing. We've printed 10×100 ft mesh wraps for full construction-site exterior coverage.
Can mesh handle Vegas summer sun?
Yes. Our outdoor mesh uses UV-stable ink rated for 3–5 years of direct sun. The mesh substrate itself outlasts the print.
Do you install on multi-story buildings?
Yes — we partner with a licensed high-rise install crew for anything above 3 stories. Quote separately by height and access difficulty.
