Lamination
Lamination is a clear film bonded to a printed graphic to protect the ink layer from abrasion, UV fading, moisture, and chemical exposure. Used heavily on outdoor wraps, floor graphics, vehicle wraps, and any high-touch print. Available in matte, satin, and gloss finishes. Adds 1–3 mil thickness to the finished print.
Why it matters for your project
Unlaminated prints in outdoor or high-traffic environments fade in months. Laminated prints in the same conditions hold color for years. The added cost of lamination ($1–$3 per square foot) is always worth it for any print with an expected life over 6 months or any installation receiving foot traffic, washing, or sun exposure.
